Anaemia



Anaemia can be defined as a medical condition with a deficiency of red blood cell or haemoglobin less than 13.5 grams in men and 12 grams% in women.

Causes of anaemia: -



* Anemia due to anaemia

* Anemia due to bone marrow deficiency 

* Anemia due to abnormal destruction of red blood cells in the spleen and liver

* Anemia due to blood loss

* When bleeding is due to severe bleeding there is the loss of red blood cells for anaemia.

Feeding channel conditions such as ulcers, files, gastritis (colon cancer) and cancer

* Prolonged use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) such as paracetamol, aspirin, etc. causes anaemia.

At the time of menstruation and birth especially if menstrual bleeding is more than normal antepartum bleeding. Postpartum haemorrhage and anaemia if pregnancy is also caused.

* Anemia occurs due to injury.

* Anemia due to defects in red blood cell bone marrow production.



Anaemia occurs due to the following reasons: -



Discomfort cell anaemia is also called hereditary anaemia.


# Iron deficiency due to iron deficiency in food and lack of absorption in the intestine causes anaemia.


# Vitamin deficiency such as Vitamin C and Vitamin B.


# Bone Marrow and Stem Cell Problems Caused by Carcinoma.

Symptoms of anaemia: -



Symptoms of anaemia include the following: -

* Fatigue

* Fast heart rate

* Heart noise

* Increased spleen

* Low blood pressure

* stomach pain

* Rapid respiratory weakness

* Stool maroon

* Respiratory problems

* dizziness

* Pale or cold skin

* tired

* Palms

* Hair fall,

* Malaria

* Struggling with heart problems




Diagnosis of anaemia: -



* Complete blood count (CBC)

* Red Blood Cell Count

* Hemoglobin

* Hematocrit

* White blood cell count

* Platelet count

* Differential Enumeration

* Means corpuscular volume

* Bench Giac Blood test on excreta

* Peripheral blood circulation looks at red blood cells under a microscope

* Transfer Level observes a protein that moves iron around the body

* Reticulocyte count

* Bone marrow biopsy

* These are tests done to diagnose anaemia.



Treatment of anaemia: -



home care:


1. Anaemia can be treated at home by giving a diet rich in iron adequate bed rest and iron pills and folic acid etc.

2. If the patient has a stomach ulcer then he should stop taking aspirin and other medicines like ibuprofen etc.



Medical treatment of anaemia:



Oral therapy for anaemia: - Medical treatment includes iron and folic acid pills, oral solutions such as iron fumarate and colour gluconate, etc.





Parenteral therapy for anaemia:



Intravenous injection: - This involves the administration of an iron injection for the onset of sudden action and is used to treat severe anaemia.


Intramuscular injection: - Here the injections are given in a Z-trace method and it is effective but has more side effects.


Blood transfusion for anaemia: - In case of severe anaemia packed cells are transfused.



Oxygen - Red blood cells can deliver maximum oxygen to the tissues of the body.



Fluids - To help lower blood pressure while lowering blood pressure.



Platelets - Antibiotics are given to treat infections when bleeding is severe in place of missing platelets.

Erythropoietin is given to improve the production of red blood cells (R.B.C.). Surgery for the treatment of anaemia involves hysterectomy which will help to prevent postpartum bleeding and the damage caused by any carcinoma by removing the uterus.




Follow-up care in anaemia



Follow-up care in anaemia is very essential to prevent further anaemia. This includes regular control and continuation of medication.





Prevention of anaemia: -



Anaemia can be prevented by regular control and early detection and treatment of anaemia. And eating an iron-rich diet such as drums, green leafy vegetables, papaya, whole grains, and dairy and dairy products helps prevent anaemia.



Complications of anaemia: Complications of anaemia include hypoxia, cardiac problems such as heart failure, tissue hypoxia, and brain anoxia.
